The -A model ships with Network Advantage, which adds advanced capabilities such as EVPN VXLAN, Segment Routing, and full SD-Access fabric participation. Both models are identical in hardware.
No. Per the official Cisco datasheet, the default switch configuration does not include an uplink network module — the modular uplink slot is present but unpopulated. Compatible uplink modules include the C9300-NM-4G (4x1G), C9300-NM-8X (8x10G), C9300-NM-2Q (2x40G), and C9300-NM-2Y (2x25G), and must be ordered separately.
Yes. The C9300-48UN-E supports Cisco StackWise-480 and can be stacked with other Catalyst 9300 modular uplink models (C9300 SKUs) in any combination, up to eight units. It cannot be stacked with Catalyst 9300L fixed uplink models or Catalyst 3850/3650 series switches. Stacking cables (STACK-T1-50CM, STACK-T1-1M, STACK-T1-3M) are sold separately.
