The Arista QDD-400G-SRBD is a high-performance 400 Gigabit Ethernet QSFP-DD (Quad Small Form-factor Pluggable Double Density) optical transceiver designed for short-reach, high-density data center networking. Utilizing 400GBASE-SR4.2 BiDi (Bidirectional) technology, it delivers 400 Gbps connectivity over OM4 or OM5 multimode fiber using an MPO-12 optical connector, supporting transmission distances of up to 100 meters on OM4 and 150 meters on OM5 fiber.



The module is software configurable to operate as a native 400GBASE-SR4.2 transceiver or as a breakout solution supporting 4 × 100GBASE-SRBD (100G BiDi) or 4 × 100GBASE-SR1.2 interfaces. This flexibility makes it an excellent choice for organizations migrating from 100G to 400G Ethernet while maximizing existing multimode fiber infrastructure.
